For those of you that have visited our marketplace in Stamford, you may have seen the boxes of pillowy croissants wafting buttery goodness through the air. You may have tried (and failed) to walk past the chocolate chip cookies, perfectly crisp edges and chocolate chunks poking out every which way. Or perhaps you’ve caught sight of the ciabattas, light golden loaves tied with a bow like a little present.
We pick up all of these goodies several times a week from Ross Bread + Coffee, a local bakery in Ridgefield, CT offering up a wide selection of baked goods — and some are gluten-free, too! Everything is made on-site in small batches using local ingredients and organics. Haley Scott, CIA-trained Head Baker works the kitchen, and Stumptown trained baristas work the coffee bar.
Owners Amy and Eric Freidenrich are big fans of Mike’s Organic, and we’ve hosted several events with their products. Most recently, on January 27th, Ross’s Head Baker Haley Scott led the baking demonstration with their top selling Chocolate Chunk Cookies. For those wishing to do the baking at home, Dough-To-Go is available year-round and makes a perfectly convenient sweet treat.
Be sure to try one (or some) of Ross’s baked goods the next time you’re visiting or ordering from Mike’s Organic!
